At least four African countries were liberated from apartheid and colonization due to the direct involvement of Cuba. Cuba sent doctors, engineers, and troops to support the liberation of Angola, South Africa, Mozambique, and Namibia, while the United States supported the racist regime in South Africa. Had Cuba not sent troops, apartheid would be the law all over southern Africa.
