Janeane Garofalo Calls Teabaggers Racist

OK. I have a new sweetheart. It is Janeane Garofalo. I have always been attracted to women with brains and who can appreciate humor.

Risking her career and the ostracism of closet racists everywhere, she boldly called the teabaggers racist, joining Jimmy Carter as the only white person brave enough to do so. She has stuck by her comments and repeated them on Bill Maher's show on Friday.

She also called out Michael Steele, who is in the Uncle Tom Hall Of Fame. She indicated that Uncle Steele suffers from Stockholm Syndrome, currying favor with his oppresors so that one day he might be free.

Black people are afraid to make these statements for fear of being accused of playing the race card. They stand silently by as brave soles in the white community risk everything to state the truth and call out the racists among them. Our leaders are being exposed as cowards in the face of obvious racism, much like the slaves who tried to discourage others from taking the underground railroad. These people will never be free.

Thanks Janeane! You have gained a fan for life.

Carter Stands Firm

Gotta love Jimmy Earl. He will not back down in the face of criticism over his belief that a "fringe" element of the teabaggers are racist. The teabagger movement refuses to identify and drive out this fringe element. Instead they are embraced.

White backlash is nothing new. When slaves escaped the south for freedom in the north, fugitive slave acts were passed, returning slaves and freedmen alike to bondage in the south. When slaves were freed and given the right to vote, Jim Crow and segregation laws, poll taxes, and Grandfather Clauses were enacted to appease the racists and disenfranchise the black citizens. When Civil Rights legislation was passed in 1964, all major African American leaders were killed or imprisoned by 1968 and a right wing racist elected President. Now that an African American has been elected President, the racists have taken to the streets. Their teabagger protest in Washington on 9/12 resembled a Klan rally. The only thing missing were the white robes and burning cross.

Carter remembers these times. He does not wish to repeat the failings of the pass. We MUST support him as the racists attempt to discredit him. Where in the fuck are Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson? They should be standing shoulder to shoulder with Jimmy Carter right now. It is becoming increasingly obvious that they are self-serving, ego maniacal sellouts only interested in issues that will enhance their own status.

Carter is right. We must repudiate the racists whereever we see them. Expose them for who they are by asking serious questions about their motives. Shouting them down when they issue racists statements. Kick their asses.

Carter Calls Teabaggers Racist

Finally someone other than a Black man has called the teabaggers racist. The press can't state the obvious for fear of losing viewers. Sharpton and Jackson can't do it because they are percieved as always shouting racism. The President can't do it because the conservatives would claim he is whining. Jimmy Earl has nothing to lose. He is widely respected, supremely qualified, and just the right person to call it like he sees it. The media doesn't know what to do now without starting the race debate. No white person wants to debate race relations. It might lead to reparations somehow. Can't have that.

The teabaggers can't throw out the racists. They make up two thirds of the group. If one is asked to leave they all will. Uneducated morons are almost always racist. Old white people are almost always racist. Thats most of the group.

Most whites want to believe that racism no longer exists. Hell, we have a Black President, one sits on the Supreme Court, a few in the Senate. That makes us all equal. Sure we lock up more Hispanics and African Americans per capita than whites, but, they commit more crimes. Sure the unemployment rate is double for minoritities, but, they just don't want to work. Sure, a Black man was dragged to death, he needed a ride! Pay no attention to those witch doctor signs, catcalls, and claims that the President is "stealing" the country. Don't all niggers steal?

Thank you Jimmy Earl! At least one white man has the courage to tell it like it is. Don't expect the racists to leave the teabaggers. We must shame them in the streets when we see them. Call them racists. Kick their asses. Let them know that we see them and will not forget. Then maybe this country can engage in an honest discussion of the race question and make amends.

Obama Portrayed As Witch Doctor

Only a White person would ask if the portrayal of President Obama as a witch doctor was racist. Whites have no concept of racism. They are the purveyors of racism, therefore, they are unable to recognize it in themselves. They are quick to yell racism when they feel wronged in any way by a person of color. They figure Blacks will take any opportunity to exact revenge for 400 years of slavery, rape, murder, theft, and general hatred. Blacks secretly hate the White man therefore Blacks are racists. Stupid.

Whites are inherently afraid to take an honest look at the history of the American republic. They glamorize every part of history from the glorious landing of the pilgrims, to the courageous fight at the Little Big Horn. They conviently leave out the parts where they steal land, kidnap people, and murder everyone who protests. They always ask whether an issue is racist, even when obvious, in an attempt to avoid the truth. They will always end the story saying "some think this is racist" without offering an opinion or stating the fact.

Only by honestly facing up to the truth and providing an indept accounting of racist policies that affected millions can the country finally come to grips with the question of race. Providing reparations to the African and Native people of this land would go a long way toward solving the problem once and for all.
